What is the explaination for removing those regulations? They didn't even ask anyone.
What are the details of the regulation? Is there another regulation somewhere that does include that provision still, and it was removed to streamline and eliminate redundancy? What regulations are there? How do those regulations impact emergency preparedness?
I know the parties aren't exactly analogous, but here, the media - particularly the print and television media - frequently posts stories without any background that paint Conservatives in a negative light. This story read exactly like one of those. For a liberal politician, the stories dig and dig in an effort to find something - anything - that will excuse a seemingly inappropriate move.
Not saying the move was excusable, but there were questions to be asked and digging to do. With so much omitted, it feels like a deliberate effort to paint the guy in a bad light.
Nah, its just Harper is a plug.
